Novel Reading: Tales of Mystery and Imagination

This book included the five other stories, all about the mysterious things. First one's title is <The Fall of the House of Usher>. This story took place in some old house by a lake. It is night and there is a heavy storm outside. In this story I think author is genius for making the gloomy mood. Second story's title is< The Black Cat>. This story is about a Black cat is hanging its neck from a tree. Bad person hung the poor animal from a tree and left to die. Because he thought this cat is evil thing. Third story's title is <The Masque of the Red Death>. This story about a Prince Prospero was dying. He lives in the castle for far away from plague. One day, in the castle they did masked ball, and he met the ‘Red Death’ and die. Forth story's title is <William Wilson>. This story is about William Wilson who same as speaker. After the speaker met with William Wilson, he had the bad events were happened. In the end, the speaker knew that William Wilson is doppelganger. And they shoot the gun to each. They both die. The last story's title is <The Tell- Tale Heart>. The speaker killed an old person. And he hides a dead body. When the police investigate the home of the speaker, he shown the manor and a normal daily basis, they should not doubt. But he felt a kind of guilt, and hearing the old man’s voice. In the end, he goes to police to surrender himself.

     Reason why I choose this book is I was taken by the book's cover. I'm not interesting in mysteries, but I knew the few mysteries. I was engrossed in nostalgic thoughts of my youth. Because, when I was young, I heard the many tales of mystery but not now. If you likes horror or mystery story, I recommend this book.

I like this part because I feel few fears in this part. And next to this part, the illustration is fearful.

 Peter Donnelly is not popular in Korea, but he working illustrator for 20 years long. He is from Island. He drawing the pictures for fairy-tales, animations and illustrates.  He won the American Illustration Award 2012, 3X3 Fairy-tale Showcase 2012. He is famous of working for illus CM Campaign. And he worked with Animation School's TV animation works.

He used the simple colors like simple black, red and gray. I can feel the traffic on the London street. We can find the Big Ben Tower. Finding the structures what you know is kind of exciting.

Gabriel Faure was French composer. He was born in Pamiers. We can  say Gabriel Faure is the major role for the development of modern French music with Debussy and Label. The detail and beautiful experiences in his songs are makes him to person who is one of the France's leading composer. In his works, there're a quartet, a piano quartet, a violin sonata, etc. There are many excellent works in the chamber music and songs.

Sicilienne is one of the most famous song in the  Faure's songs.  Sicilienne name comes from the meaning of "beauty" or ""pride". And also it means come from sicilliana or sicilian(In French, it say sicillienne, sicily). This mean the French dance in 17,18centuery. This song is playing your favorite dances that reveal the charm of Sicily. This song experence the feeling both sad and happy. We can feel smooth and gloomy both at a same time. There are many version of music score to play in violin, cello, flute or piano.

Sicilienne for cello and piano op.78 is used in the act 'pelreashseu and Jangdeu'(op.80). This act's story about the half-brother grab a confrontation between the beautiful queen of love. This is tragic content. In this act, the 'Sicilian' is written in sad. Faure's musices are widely loved.

Current Event: Guangdong hit as deadly floods sweep southern China

Flooding and landslides across nine southern Chinese provinces have killed more than 50 people and left 14 missing, officials say. Guangdong was hardest hit, reporting 36 deaths after days of heavy rain, said the Ministry of Civil Affairs.

Six people had died in Jiangxi, added the ministry. And further bad weather is forecast for Guangdong later on Saturday, with warnings of heavy wind and rain causing more flooding in the next few days. Teams of relief workers have been sent to oversee the recovery efforts in the hardest hit areas, officials said. Heavy rainstorms in Guangdong reportedly caused widespread flooding in the province's mountainous areas and affected nine cities including the provincial capital, Guangzhou. Nearly 900,000 people had been affected across the state, with floods destroying 2,675 houses, China's Xinhua News Agency reported.

This book is mainly about a man who called Dorian Gray. Dorian Gray is the very handsome and rich the nobles of a master of literary. Basil is an artist. Basil drew the picture of Dorian Gray. The picture of Dorian Gray shows the Dorian’s status. And the picture on the Dorian Gray is getting old. When Dorian Gray sees the painting of his own face, he fell in love in his beauty. The picture on the Dorian Gray getting old instead he getting old. But he stay young. He wants to keep his youth and beauty. He kills the artist who drew this picture. In the end of story, he dead with a knife in his heart. And the picture on the Dorian Gray get younger and the person who lying down in floor is old man. I don’t want to read this kind of book. It is difficult to read. And this story is the kind of horror. But I recommend reading this book. This book is famous book and the story is good.

“I’m afraid that the picture shows the secret of my heart.” said Basil. I like this part because I think this sentence shows the kind of mind of artist.

Summary: More than 100 miners were working underground on Saturday afternoon, and the explosion of coal mine was happened. 27 people are died. In second coal mine explosion, 81people are rescued but 16people are injured. The gas explosion in coal mine are too dangers. More than 1300people are died by accident.  Chinese coal miners are worry about the safety procedures. And they reprove the company that have responsible of miners safety.

Blog Post : About the Giants

April, the new animation from Japan was stared. I watching these animation and I found some interesting animation between these. The animation title  is [March of the giants](I don't know it is correct in english). Human live in a huge barrier to protect themselves from giants. Giants are about 2~3m, and some giants' tall is over the barrier. The most of giants are eating the human who still alive. Human don't have many informations about the giants. We enjoy the what happens in this animation. there are many interesting ideas and information(setting) about the giants and people who fight with giants. It is cool.

Someone said the giants are real. And some said giants are one of the speaces of human and some of giants are god. In past, the  people saw the natural sights and imagine the giants are  real. And some myth, the many gods are giants. The giants are apper in many games, stories, cartoon, animation, movies and myths. We didn't know that they are real.
